13th December 2012, Thursday,

End of the year, Brunei bombarded by many types of fruits and the most popular fruit is Durian. And of course, once a year I eat Durian Porridge. Tuai, is another name for Durian Porridge which is cooked by my grandmother. It's really sweet and delicious.

My Happiest Life Ever

 09th December 2012, Sunday,

The first time I have a niece

Today at 1 a.m., my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby girl who is their first child and also our first niece in our family. How happy I am that I can not wait to come visit her in the hospital. Her name is Nur Insyirah Faizah Binti Mohammad Khairul Amelin. Her weight is 2.92 kilogram. At the picture, she like her father and when I seen in reality, she like her mother. She is so cute and has a round face and pudgy like her parents (ehehe). I really really love and miss her. Syukran Jazilan Ya Allah, for giving us a cute baby. Alhamdulillah..

My New Pet

02nd December 2012, Sunday,

My Baby Guinea Piggy..

I've been interested in Guinea Pigs and have done a lot of research about them. I think that a guinea pig is my ideal pet.

Why Guinea Pigs?
Guinea pigs, or
cavia porcellus to give them their proper name, are in many ways ideal family pets!

  • Unlike dogs you don't have to walk them daily,
and unlike dogs you can go out all day leaving them safely behind.
  • Unlike cats they do not destroy the local wild bird population.
  • Unlike hamsters, and some other small rodents they do not sleep all day.
  • Unlike rabbits they eat little, can be handled easily, and can even stay indoors.
  • Unlike snakes, and other reptiles they do not need extra heat and light.
  • Unlike birds they do not make incessant noise.
  • Unlike fish they can be handled and give affection.
  • Unlike horses they do not need regular veterinary attention or expensive upkeep.
Yes, the domesticated guinea pig can make a great pet - low cost to buy, low cost of upkeep, not noisy, does not demand constant attention, yet are affectionate, cuddly, and can be bred easily.

My baby guinea's name is Ron or Ronney or 'Seluar' (based on its fur). My cousin gave me because she knows that I'm so lonely when I came to my bachelor home in Lumut. I told her that I need a pet that easy to care.

Ron still baby and likes to hide under newspapers. Every morning I give him carrots and cucumbers. He will make a sound when he likes, he can "ask" for food, tell you if he is tired, want attention, even sometimes when he lost home and find his owner. He quickly recognize by smell and sound. I bought him two cages, one (large) for my home at Lumut and one (small) for travelling and also, when I came back to my home at Beribi Village.

INTER-VTI ATHLETICS MEET 2012 at Padang Belapan Stadium, Berakas

29th November 2012, Thursday,

INTER-VTI ATHLETICS MEET 2012 finally ends.

Today was a truly joyous day for pretty intense competition between the schools and colleges of technical and vocational education in the athletics competition. This event lasted two days in a row where is held at Padang Belapan Stadium, Berakas and today is the last day.

Of course, the students from each school are not left behind to support and the most joyous of all is from MTSSR. Overall winner is from SVSB, the second is from SVNR and the third, from MTSSR. Although MKJB get fourth place, but I'm satisfied that we got a lot of gold medal. As said by Sir Azamri, "our school rarely get many gold medals".

Congratulation to all MKJB medalists, we got eleven gold medals. I also got two gold medals in the 100 meters individual and 4x100 meter relay. Thanks for MKJB's supportive for supporting us. Effort and enthusiasm are the key to success.

Upcoming INTER-VTI ATHLETICS MEET 2012

27th November 2012, Tuesday,

TRAINING WITH SCHEME-TEAM

Tomorrow will be actual competition for INTER-VTI ATHLETICS MEET 2012 at Padang Belapan Stadium, Berakas. I'm getting nervous because I have been selected in the event for 100m and 4x100m relay . I only have two days training with the scheme-team, at Anthony Bell's Mini Stadium, Seria and Mumong Sport Complex.

Yesterday, they told us to practice 4x100m relay, I as a starter to 4x100 meters relay but I was made a mistake when the baton that I want to pass to the second runner has been dropped and I was starting to worry if I make the same mistake in the actual match day. And today, at 2 p.m, for the last time, we trained again how to pass baton, taught by twin brother, Redzali Nain. This is the first time I get training for the running events.

Last but not least, thanks to them for welcoming me to train with, especially to Bibi, Zafirah, Lia, Nazery, Redzali, Bagol and Azim, and thank you once again to Anthony Bell's scheme-team for being willing to practice with us and also their coaches. To other participants, wish you all the best.  :))

Failure Leads To Success

18th November 2012, Sunday

Phase Test is over?? I don't think so... (seksa belum habis laaa). Do you know why?? Think over it.... ^^,

Anyway, congratulations to those who passed and to those who failed, please don't give up, it's too early to show your weakness, prove it on the next phase test next year.

The only real failure is to give up too soon. It will be your memories that left behind and encourage you to move forward. Failure is something we shouldn't fear but it leads us to success.

Below is the best poem that can motivate you and also myself which I got from sources;
Failure doesn’t mean – “You are a failure,”
It means – You have not succeeded.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You accomplished nothing,”
It means – You have learned something.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You have been a fool,”
It means – You had a lot of faith.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You don’t have it,”
It means – You were willing to try.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You are inferior,”
It means – You are not perfect.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You’ve wasted your life,”
It means – You have a reason to start afresh.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You should give up,”
It means – “You must try harder.
Failure doesn’t mean – “You’ll never make it,”
It means – It will take a little longer.

Phase Test 1

11th November 2012, Sunday,

On 3rd November is the first day of Phase Test 1 which Electrical Technology is the opening subject and followed by General Engineering Knowledge, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Science, Workshop Theory, Industrial Gas Turbine and lastly is Mathematics on 17th November.

I don't think it's easy test especially on calculation but I'll try doing my best (but I think its not the best) and I'm Tawakkal to Allah S.W.T. It's okay if I don't get distinction but for me merit or pass is better rather than fail :'((  My course-mates always asked me, "How was your exam"?, I said, "I don't know, no comment".

Actually, what I want is Diploma certificate, knowledge and experience. Since I'm one of the first woman of RBN going for further local study. I remember my officer asked me about my aim after I finish my study. Honestly, I said that I really want the FEEL working on the ship as the Marine Engineer.

Anyways, to my course-mates, wish you all good luck and if you wanna be the best, then bet the rest.

Blackout Phenomena !

02 November 2012, Friday,

STRESS!!, BLACKOUT WHOLE BELAIT DISTRICT!

Yesterday afternoon, around 4 o'clock, I decided to go back to my home at Lumut Camp, because I wanted to study there alone rather than at my home at Bandar. At that time, the weather is raining heavily. At 5 o'clock, finally, I arrived at my home (third floor, exhausted!) and I found that the whole  Belait District is black out.

I felt unlucky. Why?? Because I have only a candle left and I don't have any spare candle and torch light (BRAVO ZULU!). After Magrib prayer, (without thinking of the hazard driving during blackout) I decided to buy candle at the Kedai Runcit but they said that there is no more candle left!! (BRAVO ZULU!!). So, I just bought a torch light and a lighter.

Without waste my time, I went back to Lumut Camp and start studying Electrical Technology with just a candle. But still, I can't concentrate with just a candle!! So upset..

What is Fire??

Do you know what is fire? How it's form? Let's me tell you.

Fire is combustion or burning, in which substances combine chemically with oxygen from the air and typically give out bright light, heat, and smoke. Fire in its most common form can result in conflagration, which has the potential to cause physical damage through burning. Fire is an important process that affects ecological systems across the globe. The positive effects of fire include stimulating growth and maintaining various ecological systems. Fire has been used by humans for cooking, generating heat, signaling, and propulsion purposes. The negative effects of fire include water contamination, soil erosion, atmospheric pollution and hazard to human and animal life.

Fires start when a flammable and/or a combustible material, in combination with a sufficient quantity of an oxidizer such as oxygen gas or another oxygen-rich compound (though non-oxygen oxidizers exist that can replace oxygen), is exposed to a source of heat or ambient temperature above the flash point for the fuel/oxidizer mix, and is able to sustain a rate of rapid oxidation that produces a chain reaction. This is commonly called the Fire Triangle. Fire cannot exist without all of these elements in place and in the right proportions.

Fire Triangle

There are six classes of fire:

  1. Class 'A' - wood, paper, textiles, etc.
  2. Class 'B' - oil, petrol, paint, etc. (liquid fires)
  3. Class 'C' - flammable gases, e.g. natural gas, hydrogen, propane, butane.
  4. Class 'D' - combustible metals, e.g. sodium, magnesium, and potassium.
  5. Class 'E' - electrical fires.
  6. Class 'F' - cooking fats and oil.

ENGINEERING DRAWING

This the first lesson of Engineering Drawing practical who was taught by Sir Saini. We learned about Title Block with standard letter and correct measurement. This is not my first time actually doing Engineering Drawing but    I feel its difficult if we using wood board rather than plastic board. Plastic board is more accurate and easy.

Orientation at MKJB

2nd July 2012 - Monday

It was the first day of our orientation in MKJB. In the morning we had registration followed by an assembly in the afternoon. Our parents were called to hear the briefing for the new intake in July 2012.

The opening of the assembly was started by a choir performance from MKJB’s choir group followed by vow. The vow was read by the Head of BKP, Pg Noor Mehaly. The orientation include many activities and games such as ‘ice-breaking’ and etc.

On the last day we did our performance by group like singing, dancing and acting. These performance were seen by the Principles, Instructors and Seniors. At the end of the day, we took memorable pictures with our group including the BKPs. It was a very fun and memorable moment I had.
